The Best U-Pick Farms to Visit around Central Florida
Southern Hill Farms grows strawberries, sunflowers, pumpkins, blueberries, peaches, zinnias and a selection of winter vegetables on a 120-acre farm in Clermont that will keep you coming back to pick your own produce in spring, fall and winter. Go for a farm wagon ride or take a tour on the Blueberry Express. After that, grab some treats and head over to the shaded barns, where you can take in live music or sit back and relax in a rocking chair. Showcase of Citrus is the bigger farm and u-pick experience on the list. Wander through the property as you pick from more than 50 varieties of citrus. Next, hop aboard the World’s Largest Monster Truck Safari and traverse swamps and groves to view the entire 2,500-acre farm. Afterward, hunt for treasure at the Gem Mine. Before you head out, stop by the Old Time Country Store for a creamsicle (a delicious combination of orange slushy and vanilla soft-serve ice cream swirled together).
