Studio Saturdays: Family Art-Making at Home

Start the weekend with some creativity! Tune in for fun virtual art-making experiences perfect for the entire family with The Rollins Museum of Art’s Studio Saturdays video series. Studio Saturdays are on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. Families can enjoy free YouTube video art classes inspired by works in the museum’s collection.

If you would rather use paper instructions, you can download them on their website.

Don’t have art supplies at home? Pick up a RMA’s Art Kit that you can get and create at home! They will be available free of charge at the museum and through partner libraries across Orange County, Seminole County and Osceola County! Each box contains the art supplies necessary to create eight art projects the whole family can enjoy.

Work with materials you have at home or check out the website for information on where to pick up one of RMA’s Art Kits, available at the museum and any of these library partners:

  • Winter Park Public Library
  • Maitland Public Library
  • Orlando Public Library
  • Chickasaw Branch
  • Eatonville Branch
  • Fairview Shores Branch
  • North Orange Branch
  • Northwest Branch (Lake Mary)
  • East Branch (Oviedo)
  • North Branch (Sanford)
  • Hart Memorial Central Library
  • Poinciana Library
  • West Osceola Library

Each art project draws inspiration from works in the museum’s collection and introduces kids to artists’ biographies, different art techniques, and how to think conceptually about their artistic ideas.

New videos premiere every first and third Saturday of the month (except in September, January, and May) on this YouTube channel
