Take a stroll through the galleries with infants and toddlers in tow! Join a Museum educator for a one-hour tour of OM°A with lively discussion and engaging experiences. Crying and chatty babies are welcome! Both babies and adults can gaze at colorful and intriguing works of art without the fear of being disruptive. This tour offers something for everyone! Florida Strawberry Festival
Plant City
March 3-13

Take a short road trip to the Florida Strawberry Festival, an 11-day community event celebrating the strawberry harvest of Eastern Hillsborough County. Each year, over 500,000 visitors enjoy the festival’s headline entertainment, youth livestock shows, rides, exhibits of commerce and, of course, its strawberry shortcake!

Art Adventures: Clay Play

Roll, pinch, mold, and play with air-dry clay! Learn how to play clay games with others while experiencing the fun of creating three-dimensional works inspired by the Art of the Ancient Americas. Make a pinch pot and learn how to burnish using a smooth stone just like famous ceramic artist Maria Martinez. One adult & one child: $20

Art in the Afternoon: Clay the Ancient Way
Orlando Museum of Art
Friday, March 4, 1-2:30 p.m.

In this workshop for kids age 7 to 13, students will learn how to work with clay while developing hand-building skills. Participants will explore the Art of the Ancient Americas and will create a vessel using the coil method. Kids can embellish their work using colorful underglazes and decorative incising techniques, like sgraffito. Pieces will be kiln fired for pick up on April 8.

KUA’s Movie in the Park: Encanto
Kissimmee Lakefront Park
Friday, March 4, 5:30 p.m.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m.; movie at 7 p.m. The event will feature free admission and popcorn, free inflatable activities, photo booth, prize giveaways and the showing of Disney’s Encanto on a 50-foot screen! Onsite concessions will be available.

PetFest
Town Square Park, Windermere
March 5, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Windermere’s annual PetFest is fun for the whole family – both two and four legged members. Enjoy food trucks, pet activities, a police K-9 demonstration, live music, paw-some vendors, and tons of fun for you and your furry friends.

Disaster Showcase Touch-a-Truck
Sanford Riverwalk, Fort Mellon Park

Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Seminole County Office of Emergency Management will have over 70 vehicle and apparatus displays at this annual event. Hear from the people that respond during disasters or emergencies and check out their trucks and equipments up-close.

Family Highlights Tour
Orlando Museum of Art
March 5, 1 p.m.

Explore OMA with your family with this docent-led tour from gallery to gallery, highlighting various works. The Family Highlights Tour is held on the first Saturday of each month. Registration not required. Free with admission.

Audubon Park Lantern Jubilee
Audubon Park School
Saturday, March 5, 6-8 p.m.
Experience an annual celebration of creativity, community and light! The glowing procession will begin and end in the school parking lot. Participants are encouraged to make lanterns out of reused or sustainable materials and to walk the 1.5 mile route with lantern in hand to light up Audubon Park. Feel free to express your creativity at this fun family event. Strollers, wagons, well behaved pets and the whole family are welcome.

Kid’s Night at the Museum
Orlando Science Center
March 5, 6-10 p.m.
$70 Members or $75 Non-Members

Youth ages 5 to 12 years old are invited to explore exhibits, experience enhanced programming, and enjoy a pizza dinner in age-appropriate groups. They will also participate in hands-on activities and see an interactive Live Science Show or film. Caregivers can enjoy a stress and child-free evening on the town while children have an entertaining experience of their own exploring the wonders of everything the Science Center has to offer.

Family Fun Campouts
Geneva Wilderness Area
March 5-6; Saturday 2 p.m.-Sunday 9 a.m.
Learn to camp in a fun, family-oriented event. Meals included! There will be tent-pitching assistance, cast iron cooking, a wildlife program, fishing, s’mores over a campfire and more. Register online at recreation.seminolecountyfl.gov. This event is tailored for families with children ages 5 – 13. Limited to 40 participants. One tent per family. Tents can be provided for an additional fee.

43rd Annual Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 6, 2 p.m.
Downtown Winter Park

The parade will begin at Webster Avenue and proceed south down Park Avenue to Lyman Avenue. Active in the Irish-American community for many years, Al Denecour will serve as Grand Marshal, and more than 60 units will participate. After the parade, the celebration will continue with Irish music and step-dancing on the Central Park Main Stage with performances by professional Irish dancer Sarah Costello, Tir Na Greine School of Irish Dance, Watters School of Irish Dancing, Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance and Michael Daly, Tenor.

Virtual Silhouettes with Karl Johnson
Hosted by Bunny & Clyde Boutique on Zoom
Monday, March 7, 12-7 p.m. EST

Sign up for a 10 minute Zoom session with artist Karl Johnson where he will be creating hand cut silhouette portraits. All ages are welcome, even the squirmy ones. Sessions and portraits are free. A perfect gift for Mother’s Day.

Storytime at the Zoo

Wednesday, March 9, 10 – 10:30 a.m.

Enjoy animal stories at the Zoo along with a special visit from one of their animal ambassadors. Programs will be presented by the Orange County Library System storytellers. This free program is designed for pre-school age children. Please note that this event is rain or shine, and will be moved inside during inclement weather. Zoo admission is not included or required to attend.

Wild Zoo Art for Families

Put your creative skills to the test. Kids and adults can paint the portrait of a live animal together at this instructor-led class. Supplies included. $15 per person for Zoo Annual Pass Holders / $18 per person for non-pass holders. For kids ages 5-13 who are accompanies by an adult.

Tuesday, March 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Come visit the animals at Cheyne Ranch for an hour long hands-on experience! You and your child(ren) will rotate through 3 different stations: (1) Reading a book to the bunnies or ponies, (2) Petting & brushing a horse and (3) Petting the goats and seeing the baby chicks up close. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased for all children age 24 months and up. Adults are free! Pony rides available for an extra $5. There’s a playground available for you – bring a snack and stay awhile!

63rd Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival
Central Park, Winter Park
March 18-19, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is a community project to bring local artists and art lovers together. It is a free event produced by an all-volunteer board and draws more than 350,000 visitors each year.

Kite Day
Avalon Park
Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

A fun day of kit flying and free kit making for kids. There will be a picnic area and professional kite flyers.

Spring Festival
Black Hammock Bee Farm, Oviedo
March 19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Celebrate spring at the bee farm. There will be a lot of activities for families including a planting station where you can decorate your own pot, pink your flower, then plant it for Spring! There’s also a magnet-making craft, a honey tasting experience and bee presentations throughout the day. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.

4th Annual St Paddy’s Day Truck Pull & Street Festival
Historic Downtown Sanford
March 19 at 4 p.m.

The event takes place in the ‘Famous L’ between Celery City Craft and West End Trading Co. Try your luck and pull a truck! Get together with your tribe and form teams of 10 and pull a fire truck for some major bragging rights, fun and to benefit Special Needs Ability Program, Inc. There will be live music on multiple stages, lots of craft beer, food trucks, craft vendors and lots of Sanford Fun! To sign up your team please e-mail kim@ladies327.org. First come first serve. St. Patrick’s Day Festival
Oviedo Amphitheatre & Cultural Center
Saturday, March 19, 4-10 p.m.

Celebrate the luck of the Irish at this family-friendly festival featuring Guinness, Smithwicks and Harp draft beer for purchase by punch card. For the kids there will be Irish Step Dancers, stilt walkers, balloon artists, face painting and photo ops. Purchase your beer punch card here to avoid long lines at the event. Punch cards are $25 for four punches (one punch = one pint). Entertainment schedule:
4-6 p.m.: Live DJs, bag pipes, Irish Step Dancers
6-7:30 p.m.: Bangers and Mash (live band)

Longwood Pirate Seafood Festival

March 26 & 27, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Central Florida’s newest Seafood Festival will showcase pirates, vendors, a pirate village with ship for kids to climb, a free kid zone, music and entertainment ranging from fire dancers to reggae. Both kids and adults are invited to ride the mechanical SHARK at no charge. An assortment of ocean delights will be available along with beer and wine. Food for landlubbers will also be available.

10th Annual Pints n’ Paws Craft Beer Festival
Historic Downtown Sanford
Saturday, March 26, 1-6 p.m.

A craft beer festival that you bring your fur-babies to. Sample craft beer from over 100 breweries, interact with other dog lovers, enjoy food trucks, music and most importantly help raise funds for local pet rescue charities! Tickets: VIP 1-6 p.m. $55 ($65 day of); General Admission 2-6 p.m. $40 ($50 day of). VIP gets event commemorative t-shirt, koozie and early admission. Tickets only needed if you’re sampling craft beer. If you’re not sampling craft beer, you’re still welcome to come and enjoy the vibe and everything else.

All children 6yrs+ are invited to join us in our studio for some fiery fun with dragons and dracaenas! Come and join Miss Tori and create your own fire breathing paper dragon puppet and learn all about dracaenas, or “dragon plants,” when you plant your own in a decorated pot.
