When Sandra decided to start The Naked Cupcake, with just a cupcake truck in 2016 she dreamed of one day opening a brick-and-mortar bakery too. In the meantime, she created the idea of the “Dress My Cupcake” experience which gave people the opportunity to become co-creators in designing the cupcake of their dreams. And that experience started growing the number of The Naked Cupcake fans across Central Florida. This same idea caters to the preferences of each person that walks up to the truck or now walks in to the shop! Want a basic vanilla cupcake with sprinkles? They’ve got you. Want as many toppings on your cupcake as we can fit? Challenge accepted!
Now that they have a storefront in the fastest growing community in Orlando, Lake Nona, they’ve become a must-see-and-do spot for Orlando residents and visitors alike. The Naked Cupcake is more than just a cupcake and cake shop!
- They offer The Dress My Cupcake Experience™ where guests become co-creators in making the cupcake of their dreams by picking the base, filling, frosting, and unlimited toppings. (One of the only places, if not the only place in the country where one can customize your cupcake and watch it be dressed right then and there!)
- Gluten free and vegan cupcakes are also available daily for guests with food allergies so that they can customize their treat and have more than just the “one” vegan or “one” gluten free option that many other shops offer.
- Not only does The Naked Cupcake offer cupcakes, but they have ICE CREAM too! Because cake and ice cream! Of course! They carry Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream to pair with their cupcakes – Kelly’s is the number one ice cream purveyor in all of Orlando (rated by critics and customers on multiple outlets).
