Kids can get two free games of bowling on weekdays, plus a free cookie with a kid’s meal purchase.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Movie Night: The Karate Kid
Leu Gardens
August 5, 2022, 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy an outdoor movie in Orlando’s most beautiful garden. Pack a dinner picnic basket and seating, alcohol is permitted. This movie is rated PG, children under 13 years of age require accompanying parent or adult guardian, weather permitting. It is best to arrive 30 minutes prior to movie time due to location of the movie area in the gardens. Please bring in your dinner/seating when you enter. Cost: $7 adult, $5 child (4-17 years of age), plus tax and online fees. Tickets available online starting August 1, 2022 until we reach capacity. Children under 3 years of age are required to have a free ticket. Tickets will not available at the door. Check in ends 30 minutes after the movie starts.

Back to School Expo

A free family event. Your one-stop for all things back-to-school. The Expo is an exclusive opportunity for parents, teachers and others to connect with education, health and family focused organizations and companies. It’s also Florida’s tax-free school shopping weekend, so parents can stock up on clothing and other items at the mall and save money.

Elev8 Fun Back to School Extravaganza

August 8, 12-8 p.m.

Elev8 Fun is sending kids back to school with one last blast of FUN at their Back 2 School Extravaganza. In partnership with Huvigg VR Arena and Locksmith Escape Room, kids and parents can make their way through the participating partners to get exclusive, day-of savings along with some fun freebies. Plus, 8% of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Sanford Middle School for school supplies and classroom upgrades.

We are going on a bear hunt to find our furry friend and have some fun with everyone! This fun and engaging class is for guardians and their toddlers to experience a journey of creative play through Lack Haven Park. Reserve your spot ahead of time or walk-ups are also welcome! Our annual model casting is here! Every year we team up with local photographer Simply Shelby Photography and our dear friends at Tugboat & the Bird to find local models for our Oct/Nov issue cover! We are looking for local kids ages newborn to 12, living in the Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. Let’s see those individual styles and personalities. Don’t forget to register early!

Food Truck Thursdays
Torcosa Park, Winter Springs
August 18, 5-8 p.m.

Join the City of Winter Springs for an evening of tasty dishes and sweet treats at Torcaso Park (104 N. Moss Rd.). This event will also feature bounce houses and community yard games for families to enjoy. Torcaso Park is home to a splash playground, sand pits, large pavilion and basketball courts. Please bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair to enjoy this event. We encourage residents in the area to consider walking or biking to the event as parking may be limited.

Dog Man: The Musical

The REP kicks off its 20th Birthday Season with Dog Man: The Musical, based on the bestselling series by Dav Pilkey. Children will love this high-quality theater performance that is a heartwarming and hilarious chronicle of a dog who loves to fight crime and chew on furniture.

Kid’s Summer Cooking Class

Put on your chef hat, kids! During the Terralina Crafted Italian summer cooking series you’ll learn how to make raviolis with fresh ingredients. Embrace Italian food and culture while transforming simple ingredients into delicious dishes. Each class includes a drink, apron, chef hat, ravioli and a dessert! Cooking classes are $30 and designed for kids ages 5-12. Space is limited to 12 kids per class.

Family Sunset at the Zoo

August 26, 5–8 p.m.

Enjoy inflatable games, music and more as you stroll around the Zoo! Gates reopen at 5 p.m. for guests to enjoy the Zoo at sunset and music in the Tropical Splash Ground. Last admission into the Zoo will be at 7:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $6 online, $8 at the door. Guests can also bundle and save with the Family 4-Pack for $40, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular fountain drinks to fuel the whole family for fun.
