Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild

A dazzling display of color, light and sound is now open at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

For the second year, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens presents Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild. The festivities run on select dates now until January 16, 2022. The festival features hundreds of larger-than-life, hand-constructed lanterns lit by more than 10,000 LED lights. The stunning lights allows the community to celebrate the holiday season while also observing the traditions of Asian lantern festivals.

The lanterns are set up on a 3/4 -mile trek throughout the Zoo. Festival hours will be in the evening, and entry will require a separate ticket to Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, general admission tickets to the Zoo are not required to attend the event. The festival takes place entirely outdoors and is rain or shine.

Guests can purchase tickets in advance at centralfloridazoo.org. Group ticket options are also available in Family Four Packs starting at $50 along with larger group options for those 15 people and more for guests 3+.

From gorgeous lanterns to illuminated displays of color, it’s a can’t-miss event of the season. We’re looking forward to sharing the fun of this event through 2022.”

The festival is arranged on dates for local residents to bring their out of town guests during the holidays season including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day weekends.
